The Alabama Steeldogs a team originally known as the Birmingham Steeldogs, were incorporated as a development team for the Arena Football League. The team lasted a few seasons in the realm of Arena Football. However towards the end they started to struggle mightily. The problem with this particular team went beyond the field. The management of the team eventually struggled to keep the team going so in 2007 the team owner mentioned that for the 2008 season they would not have a team. While they went into a state of limbo the owner continued to look for other forms of ways to finance the team to make a comeback in the year 2009. However the comeback never happened and the team is now officially folded with no prospect of return. This sad situation can very well be the future for other teams especially in the Arena League of football. Because Arena football is a niche type of sport. There always exists the possibility that what happened to the Alabama Steeldogs can occur to other teams around the league as well. This is why all the other owners have to be very careful about finding new ways to attract team revenue.Take a look here to learn more: Milwaukee Iron Arena Football, Inc.
